Epocrates, Inc. Announces Pricing
of Initial Public Offering
San Mateo, Calif., - February 2, 2011 - Epocrates, Inc. (NASDAQ: EPOC)
today announced the pricing of the initial public offering of 5,360,000
shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $16.00 per share.
The shares are expected to begin trading today on the NASDAQ under the
ticker symbol "EPOC." Epocrates is offering 3,574,285 shares and selling
stockholders are offering the remaining 1,785,715 shares. In addition,
the underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an
additional 804,000 shares of common stock from Epocrates to cover
over-allotments, if any. Epocrates will not receive any proceeds from
the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Piper Jaffray & Co. are serving as joint
book-running managers. William Blair & Company, L.L.C. and JMP
Securities LLC are acting as co-managers.
